Too often we wait for others to make us feel good about ourselves or to tell us that we are doing a good job. You might find yourself waiting quite a long time. Instead, validate and celebrate your own accomplishments. Pat yourself on the back and acknowledge the greatness that lies within you.
I think that Muhammed Ali was one of the greatest hype man that ever lived. Quotes such as “I am the greatest, I said that before I even knew I was.” or “I know where I’m going and I know the truth, and I don’t have to be what you want me to be. I’m free to be what I want” made him seem cocky. The reality is that he was confident in his abilities and what he could and would accomplish. For some reason we’ve been taught that celebrating our accomplishments is not proper and that we should be silent about it until someone else acknowledges it. Why? Seek to motivate yourself EVERYDAY! Look to make yourself feel great about yourself and all that you’ve accomplished. Nothing is too small.
Be your own HYPE!
